Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using assomena.org. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the legal entity operating AssoMENA. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
1.Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering for, signing in to or using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to bind your organization if acting on its behalf, and accept these Terms in full.
If you use the Platform on behalf of a company, partnership, association or other organization, references to “you” include that organization and you warrant that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2.Platform Description
AssoMENA provides a B2B marketplace enabling companies, agents, and professionals in the MENA region and Mediterranean to connect, explore trade opportunities, post jobs, and communicate.
AssoMENA provides a venue and technology platform for business networking and information exchange. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, AssoMENA is not a party to, broker of, guarantor of, or adviser in any transaction, introduction, negotiation, employment arrangement, investment or other commercial relationship between users.
Information made available through the Platform is for general business and networking purposes and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice.
3.User Accounts
You can create an account by registering on the Platform, or an AssoMENA administrator may create one for you by invitation. Submitting a contact, partnership or agent enquiry does not by itself create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account and must notify AssoMENA promptly if you suspect unauthorized use or a security breach.
- You must not apply for or use an account using false identity information, transfer an account without permission, or permit unauthorized third parties to use your credentials.
- AssoMENA may require reasonable verification of identity, authority, company information or eligibility and may refuse, restrict or remove an account where verification is not satisfactorily completed.
4.Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features may be offered as a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are not yet available for purchase on the Platform, and no fees are charged until they are. Once offered, subscriptions will be billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through the payment provider shown at checkout. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
Prices, billing intervals, taxes and the features included in a subscription will be displayed or otherwise communicated before purchase. By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise the applicable payment provider to charge the relevant recurring fees until cancellation takes effect.
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. AssoMENA may change subscription pricing or features prospectively on reasonable notice; changes will not retrospectively alter fees already paid for the current billing period.
Payment processing may be provided by independent third-party payment providers and may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.
5.Prohibited Conduct
- Do not post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Do not use the Platform for spam, phishing, or unlawful activities.
- Do not attempt to scrape, hack, or disrupt the Platform.
- Do not impersonate other users or companies.
- Do not upload content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, data-protection or other rights of any person.
- Do not use automated means to harvest data, contacts, profiles or content except with AssoMENA's prior written permission.
- Do not introduce malware, attempt unauthorized access, circumvent security or access controls, interfere with Platform availability, or test vulnerabilities without authorization.
- Do not use the Platform to facilitate bribery, corruption, money laundering, sanctions evasion, discriminatory conduct, harassment or any other illegal activity.
- Do not misuse contact details obtained through the Platform for unsolicited bulk communications or purposes unrelated to legitimate professional networking.
6.User Content and Business Listings
You remain responsible for content, listings, messages, documents and other materials that you submit or make available through the Platform (“User Content”). You warrant that you have all rights and permissions necessary to provide that User Content and that it is accurate, lawful and not misleading.
You grant AssoMENA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for the period the User Content is made available through the Platform and for reasonable technical back-up periods thereafter, to host, store, reproduce, format and display that User Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote and improve the Platform and provide the requested services.
AssoMENA may remove, restrict or disable access to User Content where it reasonably believes the content breaches these Terms, applicable law or the rights of another person.
7.Intellectual Property
All Platform content, trademarks, and technology are the property of AssoMENA. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us a licence to display it on the Platform.
Except for User Content and third-party material, all rights in the Platform's software, design, databases, text, graphics, logos, branding, selection and arrangement of content are owned by or licensed to AssoMENA. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
8.Member-to-Member Dealings and Due Diligence
Users are solely responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence before entering into any commercial relationship or transaction with another user or third party. AssoMENA does not warrant the identity, authority, solvency, qualifications, accuracy of statements, products, services or performance of any user unless expressly stated in writing.
Any contract or transaction entered into between users is solely between those parties. Each user is responsible for obtaining its own professional advice and for complying with applicable licensing, sanctions, anti-money-laundering, export-control, tax, employment, consumer and other legal requirements.
9.Platform Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Platform available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or continuous availability. Access may be suspended or restricted for maintenance, security, technical, legal or operational reasons. We may modify, discontinue or replace Platform features where reasonably necessary.
10.Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform may contain links to, integrations with or content supplied by independent third parties. AssoMENA does not control and is not responsible for independent third-party websites, services, terms, privacy practices or content. Use of third-party services is at the user's own risk and may be subject to separate terms.
11.Limitation of Liability
AssoMENA is not liable for the accuracy of user-generated content, the outcome of business transactions between members, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AssoMENA gives no warranty that any business opportunity, introduction, lead, listing, job posting, member profile or other information will be accurate, complete, current, suitable or result in any particular commercial outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation and any other liability which applicable law prohibits from being excluded.
Subject to the preceding sentence and to the maximum extent permitted by law, AssoMENA will not be liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill, reputation or data, or for indirect or consequential loss.
12.Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AssoMENA and its officers, employees and representatives from third-party claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Platform, your material breach of these Terms, or User Content that infringes another person's rights.
13.Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time and may cancel a paid subscription in accordance with Section 4. AssoMENA may suspend, restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a material or repeated breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or security risk, legal or regulatory requirements, non-payment, or conduct likely to harm the Platform or its users.
Provisions which by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, liability, indemnity, dispute and accrued-payment provisions, will continue to apply.
14.Privacy and Cookies
Use of personal data and cookies is governed by the AssoMENA Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.
15.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy.
This choice of law and jurisdiction is subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdictional protections that cannot lawfully be excluded by agreement.
16.Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Material changes will be published on the Platform and, where required by applicable law, notified to affected users in advance. The date of the current version is shown at the top of these Terms.
17.General Provisions
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure or delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. AssoMENA may assign these Terms in connection with a lawful corporate restructuring or transfer of its business, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and any additional terms expressly applicable to a purchased service, constitute the agreement governing use of the Platform in relation to their subject matter.
