Politique en matière de cookies
Dernière mise à jour : septembre 2026
Ce document est disponible uniquement en anglais.
This Cookie Policy explains how AssoMENA uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit assomena.org.
It should be read together with the AssoMENA Privacy Policy. Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies will not be placed or activated until you have provided the required consent.
1.What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device to help websites function, remember preferences, and understand how users interact with the site.
Cookies may be “session” cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain on your device for a defined period or until deleted. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, local storage and software development tools that perform comparable functions.
2.Types of Cookies We Use
Necessary Cookies
Required for core functionality such as login, account security, and session management.
These cookies are essential to provide functions specifically requested by you, maintain security, prevent fraud, balance network traffic and remember privacy choices. Where applicable, they are used without consent because the Platform cannot operate properly without them.
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand how visitors use the Platform so we can improve performance and usability.
Where required by law, analytics cookies will be used only after consent. Analytics information may include pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser information and performance data.
Functionality Cookies
Remember your preferences, language, and display settings.
These may also remember optional personalisation choices and improve convenience when you return to the Platform. Where these cookies are not strictly necessary, they will be subject to consent where required.
Marketing Cookies
May be used in the future to deliver relevant promotions or measure campaign effectiveness. If introduced, they will only be activated with your consent.
Marketing technologies may also help limit repeated advertising, measure campaign reach or understand interactions with promotional content. AssoMENA will not activate such technologies until they are accurately disclosed in this policy and the consent tool and consent has been obtained where legally required.
3.Cookie Consent and Preferences
When you first visit the Platform, you may be presented with a cookie banner or consent-management tool. Where legally required, you will be able to accept or reject non-essential cookie categories and change your choices later. Refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent access to the core Platform, although certain optional features may function differently.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn.
4.Managing Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Platform functions.
You may also use any cookie-preference control made available on assomena.org. Browser controls differ by browser and device, so users should consult the relevant browser's current privacy or cookie settings for instructions.
Blocking all cookies may prevent login, security, preference or other essential Platform functions from operating correctly.
5.Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be placed by third-party services (e.g., analytics providers). These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies.
Third-party services may include hosting, analytics, embedded content, security, communications, payment or other technology providers. AssoMENA maintains an up-to-date record of the third parties and cookies actually deployed on the Platform (see Section 6) and keeps its consent tools consistent with the live technical configuration.
The inclusion of a third-party service does not mean that AssoMENA controls that provider's independent processing. Users should review the relevant provider's privacy information where appropriate.
6.Cookie Register and Retention
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies currently used on assomena.org — for each one its name, provider, purpose, category and duration. It is kept consistent with the Platform’s live configuration. Browsing assomena.org without signing in sets no cookies, and no marketing or advertising cookies are used.

7.Do Not Track and Similar Signals
Browser-based privacy signals and consent mechanisms continue to evolve. AssoMENA will respond to legally binding opt-out or consent signals where applicable and technically supported. A browser’s general “Do Not Track” setting may not have a uniform legal or technical effect across all services.
8.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
Updates may be made to reflect changes in the cookies or technologies used, legal requirements, service providers or Platform functionality. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or seek renewed consent before materially changing the use of non-essential cookies.
