What the Verified badge on a company profile means, and how a company earns it.
From sign-up to the Verified badge
1.Every account belongs to a real person
Before using the platform, each person confirms their email address through a link we send.
2.A company goes live only with a complete profile
A company appears in the directory once its owner has filled in the essentials: sectors, country and a description of what it does.
3.The Verified badge
A company earns the badge in one of two ways: it confirms an email address at the same domain as its own website, which shows it controls that domain, or our team reviews it and approves it.
4.Supporting documents
Companies can upload their Chamber of Commerce registration extract and other documents. Our team uses them when reviewing a company.
5.Checks after publishing
Our team reviews companies after they go live and hides any profile that is inaccurate or misleading.
What verification does not mean
The badge confirms that a company exists and that the people managing its profile control it. It is not a credit check, a recommendation or a guarantee of any deal. Always do your own checks before signing an agreement.
